Aquaculture is divided into freshwater aquaculture and mariculture(sea water), involves automated controlled farming through real-time water quality monitoring. It includes all cultivation of aquatic organisms such as fish, shellfish, crustaceans and seaweed.

 

This Korean user mainly breeds fish. During the breeding process, the pH value is very important for the growth of fish and the stability of water quality. If the pH value is too high or too low, fish will grow slowly, become sick, or even die. Fish need a suitable salinity environment to maintain the osmotic pressure balance inside and outside their bodies. Salinity will also directly affect the physiological functions of aquatic organisms, such as respiration, digestion, excretion, etc. A suitable salinity environment can promote the physiological functions of fish and improve their growth rate and disease resistance. The dissolved oxygen content in the water body has a direct impact on the survival rate and growth rate of cultured fish and shrimp. If the dissolved oxygen content in the water body is too low, it will cause problems such as slow growth of farmed fish and shrimps, decreased appetite, damage to the body, and decreased immunity. Therefore, in aquaculture, it is necessary to regularly monitor the pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, etc. in the water body to ensure the growth and health of farmed fish and shrimp.

The water quality instruments equipped for this project include a variety of equipment such as pH sensor, conductivity salinity sensor, , and dissolved oxygen sensor, ammonium ion sensors. The measured parameters are being used to comprehensively judge the water quality conditions of grouper, tilapia and other fish, so that the staff can respond promptly and make adjustments to ensure safe and stable water quality.

What is different from the past is that this time Korean users use digital electrodes at the application site. They use the central control platform to realize digitization,so that data can be displayed completely and clearly on the mobile phone, which is convenient for staff to view in real time and achieve accurate understanding of breeding data.
