Good dielectric properties are still protected at high frequencies. It has good microwave permeability and has been widely used in radomes. Good thermal performance: FRP has low thermal conductivity, 1.25-1.67 kJ/(m.h.k) at room temperature, only 1/100-1/1000 of metal. This is a very good insulating material. It is an ideal material for thermal protection and anti-ablation at transient ultra-high temperatures. It can protect the spacecraft from the erosion of high-speed air currents at temperatures above 2,000 degrees Celsius. Good designability: Various structural products can be flexibly designed according to needs to meet the requirements of use, so that the product has good integrity. Materials that meet product performance can be fully selected, such as corrosion resistance, instantaneous high temperature resistance, high strength in a certain direction, and good dielectric properties. Excellent manufacturability: the main results are as follows: (1) The molding process can be flexibly selected according to the shape, technical requirements, usage and quantity of the product. (2) The process is simple, it can be formed at one time, and the economic effect is outstanding. It is especially suitable for products with complex shapes and less forming, and the process advantages are more prominent. Disadvantages of using FRP in comprehensive sewage treatment equipment: Low elastic modulus: The elastic modulus of glass fiber is twice that of wood, but 10 times smaller than steel (e=2.1×105), so it often feels uncomfortable in product structure. So hard and easy to deform. It can be made into a thin shell structure, a sandwich structure, or it can be made of materials such as high modulus fibers or steel bars. Poor long-term temperature resistance: Ordinary FRP cannot be used at high temperatures for a long time. The strength of general polyester FRP drops significantly above 50°C, generally below 100°C, and the strength of ordinary epoxy FRP drops significantly above 60°C. However, high temperature resistant resin can be selected so that its long-term working temperature is between 200°C and 300°C. Aging Phenomena: Aging is a common defect in plastics. FRP is no exception. It is easy to cause performance degradation under the influence of ultraviolet rays, sand, rain, snow, chemical media and mechanical stress. The low interlaminar shear strength is borne by the resin and therefore very low. By selecting the process and using the coupling agent, the bonding strength between the coatings can be improved. It is important to avoid interlayer shear in product design.
