How to deal with ammonia nitrogen in rural domestic sewage?

by:BOQU     2023-03-20
In cities, sewage not only has perfect collection and treatment technologies and facilities, but also is controlled by systematic laws, regulations and standards promulgated by the state; while in the vast rural areas, which account for nearly 90% of the total area of the country, 96% of villages have no drainage channels and sewage treatment systems . Untreated domestic sewage is discharged through point sources and non-point sources, bringing various pollutants into rivers and seriously polluting various water sources. So what should be done about the treatment of ammonia nitrogen in rural domestic sewage? A brief introduction to rural life in rural domestic sewage Sewage is mainly toilet flushing sewage, laundry, rice washing, vegetable washing, and bathing wastewater. Sewage is mainly domestic waste and human excrement, generally does not contain toxic substances, often contains nitrogen, phosphorus and other nutrients, as well as a large number of bacteria, viruses and parasite eggs. Due to different living habits, lifestyles, and economic levels, the water quality and quantity of domestic sewage in rural areas vary greatly. Characteristics and problems of rural domestic sewage (1) The distribution of sewage is relatively scattered, involving a wide range, strong randomness, and prevention and control are very difficult, the collection system of the pipe network is not perfect, extensive discharge, and basically no sewage treatment facilities Low, the sewage flow rate is small and the coefficient of variation is large (3) The composition of sewage is complex, but the concentration of various pollutants is low, and the biodegradability of sewage is strong. The treatment method of ammonia nitrogen in rural domestic sewage Biofilm method The biofilm method refers to the use of natural materials and synthetic materials (such as fibers) as the carrier, and the biofilm on the surface provides an attachment surface for microorganisms, and the microorganisms degrade the sewage through the secreted enzymes and catalysts. At the same time, the metabolic products are excreted from the biofilm. The biofilm method has high treatment efficiency, and has obvious purification effect on water bodies slightly polluted by organic matter and ammonia nitrogen. Constructed wetland method Constructed wetland treatment system is a process in which aquatic plants are planted on artificially paved substrates, and the soil, plants, aquatic animals and microorganisms composed of wetlands are used to filter and absorb pollutants together. The substrate, plants and microorganisms in the wetland are the main body of purifying sewage, and the plants play the functions of consuming nutrients and transporting oxygen. The nitrification capacity of the constructed wetland with plants was significantly higher than that of the constructed wetland without plants. The chemical method uses ammonia nitrogen remover to directly oxidize ammonia nitrogen into nitrogen gas. This method can be manually added without adding high-cost process equipment. The addition has strong flexibility, environmental protection, no secondary pollution, and quick response in only 5-6 minutes. It is a good choice for centralized treatment of rural domestic sewage.
