    Online Total Organic Carbon Analyzer

    TOCG-3040 total organic carbon analyzer is an analytical instrument independently developed and produced by Hangzhou Qikun Technology Co Ltd. for the determination of total organic carbon concentration in water samples. It can detect water samples with TOC concentration from 0.001 mg/L to 100.0 mg/L, with high sensitivity and accuracy, as well as good stability. The analyzer meets a wide range of customer requirements. The software is easy to operate and can quickly analyze samples, calibrate and test the analyzer.

    Online Total Organic Carbon Analyzer

    The TOCG-3040 is a compact TOC analyzer. The main components are installed on the host. Before measurement, the instrument needs to connect the gas circuit and prepare the reagent. The instrument is controlled by special software installed on the display screen of the instrument for data processing such as measurement, calibration and printing.

    Working principle

    TOCG-3040 total organic carbon analyzer adopts the principle of ultraviolet persulfate oxidation-NDIR detection. One sample was decomposed into CO2 by UV and persulfate oxidation, and the other sample was decomposed into CO2 by acid reagent. CO2 is dried and purified under the action of a carrier gas, and then enters a non-dispersive infrared detector (NDIR) to be measured so as to determine the carbon concentration in the sample.

    TC mode
    The TC mode is used to determine the total carbon in the sample. The sample is decomposed into CO2 in an ultraviolet reactor under the action of an oxidant, an acid reagent and ultraviolet light.

    TIC mode
    The TIC mode is used to determine inorganic carbon (carbonate and bicarbonate) in the sample. In the ultraviolet reactor, the carbonate and bicarbonate of the sample are decomposed into CO2 under the action of acid reagent.

    TOC mode
    The TOC mode is used to determine organic carbon in the sample. TOC was determined by subtraction, i.e TOC = TC-TIC. Samples were measured for TC and TIC in turn, and the TOC measured by subtraction included volatile and non-volatile organic carbon. The TOC mode should be used when the sample contains organic compounds that are easily purged. However, TOC mode is not recommended when the TIC in the sample is much higher than TOC.

    NPOC mode
    The NPOC mode is used to determine non-purgeable organic carbon in the sample. In the ultraviolet reactor, carbonate and bicarbonate are decomposed into CO2 and purged under the action of acid reagent, while volatile organic compounds are purged out at the same time. The organic carbon fraction is then decomposed into CO2 under the action of an oxidant, an acid reagent, and ultraviolet light. The NPOC mode cannot be used when VOCs in the sample cannot be ignored.
