Expert in Water Quality Measurement and Water Treatment Project Since 2007
Product Overview
- CODG-3000 Online COD Analyzer (potassium dichromate method) for continuous, automated measurement of chemical oxygen demand (COD) in wastewater. Designed and manufactured by Shanghai Boqu Instrument Co., Ltd. with industrial-grade quality control.
- Works by heating a mixture of sample, potassium dichromate, silver sulfate catalyst and concentrated sulfuric acid to 175 °C; color change of chromium ions is measured and converted to COD. Chloride interference is removed with mercury sulfate.
- Compact indoor cabinet unit (H1450 × W510 × L450 mm) with touch-screen display, data backup on alarm/power-off and multiple electronic outputs for integration.
Product Features
- Measurement ranges configurable: 5–1,500 mg/L; 100–5,000 mg/L; or 500–15,000 mg/L COD.
- Accuracy and repeatability: ≤±10% for ≥100 mg/L; absolute error ≤±8 mg/L (accuracy) or ≤±6 mg/L (repeatability) for
- Adjustable digestion time (10–120 min; minimum measurement period ~35 min), sampling interval (55–9,999 min), and calibration period (1–99 days).
- Outputs: two 4–20 mA channels, RS232 and RS485 communications. Touch-screen control and automatic purge/resume function after alarms or power cycles.
- Low maintenance: typically monthly maintenance (~30 minutes); recommended indoor operation at +5–28 °C, ≤90% RH.
Product Value
- Provides real-time, automated COD monitoring to support regulatory compliance and rapid response to pollution events.
- Reduces reliance on frequent manual lab tests, saving labor and operating costs while improving data continuity.
- Enables integration with plant control systems (analog and serial outputs) for automated process control and record keeping.
- Suitable for environments that require reliable, long-term online monitoring (e.g., military camps, remote sites) where unattended operation and data retention are important.
Product Advantages
- Proven, standardized chemical digestion (potassium dichromate + silver sulfate) for robust COD determination with chloride suppression via mercury sulfate.
- Flexible measurement ranges and adjustable timing parameters to match different wastewater strengths and application needs.
- Built and tested under strict quality control by an experienced R&D and technical team with broad service/support network.
- Automatic residual reagent discharge and resume-on-power functionality reduce operator intervention and help prevent false readings.
- Compact footprint and multiple communication outputs simplify installation and system integration.
Application Scenarios
- Military camps and field bases for routine wastewater monitoring, environmental compliance and health protection.
- Municipal and small-scale wastewater treatment plants for continuous influent/effluent COD control.
- Industrial effluent monitoring in factories, food processing, textiles, and chemical plants with varying organic load.
- Remote or temporary installations (construction sites, mining camps, disaster relief) where automated, low-supervision monitoring is required.
- Environmental agencies and monitoring stations that need online, long-term COD data for reporting and trend analysis.
