Reasons why the metering pump does not work

If the metering pump does not work, first confirm whether the following items have been noticed. Several precautions in the application process of metering pumps When running the dosing system, pay attention to the following items: A. Dosing point pressure B. Stroke frequency C. Suction lift height D. Altitude E. Corrosiveness of chemicals When the metering pump When the outlet is at atmospheric pressure, is there any way to improve the repeatable metering accuracy of the pump? Installing a valve spring on the discharge valve of the metering pump can improve the repeatable metering accuracy, but the most effective way to improve it is to install a back pressure valve at the end of the pipeline. How to adjust the back pressure valve? 1. Never exceed the maximum working pressure of the metering pump. 2. When the metering pump has pressure at the suction end, the pressure at the discharge end of the pump must be at least 1 bar higher than the pressure at the suction end. How to choose the appropriate volume of the pulsation damper? By multiplying the metering capacity (ml) of each stroke of the metering pump by 26, the minimum volume (ml) of the pulse damper required to reduce pulsation by 90% can be obtained. How to set the pressure of the safety valve? The pressure of the safety valve can be adjusted within the rated working pressure range of the metering pump, and it is not allowed to exceed the maximum working pressure of the metering pump. The safety valve is designed to prevent the metering pump from running over pressure. For example, if the maximum working pressure of the metering pump is 3bar, the pressure of the safety valve should be set to 3bar or lower to ensure the normal operation of the metering pump. Overpressure work is one of the main causes of metering pump damage. If the liquid to be delivered is not water, how to calculate the suction lift? Divide the rated suction lift of the metering pump by the specific gravity of the metered liquid. Under what circumstances is self-priming suction used? Self-priming suction can be applied in the following situations: 1. The metered liquid is easy to volatilize; 2. The specific gravity of the metered liquid is large; 3. When a higher stroke frequency is required; 4. When the metering pump works in high altitude areas; 5. When the field application requires a larger storage tank, and it is not feasible to rely on the metering pump for self-priming. Can you give some advice on the selection of the pump head of the metering pump? In terms of chemical corrosion on the pump head/seal, what problems usually occur and how to avoid them? When it comes to metering pump heads, common problems arise when metering acids, chlorine, fluoride and hydrogen peroxide. Due to the difference in drug concentration and operating temperature, it is difficult to determine the specific pump head material. When metering fluoride, we recommend Viton® sealed PVC pump heads. For most chlorination applications, EPDM-sealed NP (plexiglass) pump heads are the best choice. For the metering of hydrogen peroxide mixture, only PTFE pump head or stainless steel pump head with PTFE seal can be selected. The metering of concentrated hydrochloric acid usually chooses Viton® sealed organic glass pump head. The metering of concentrated sulfuric acid can choose PTFE pump head with PTFE seal. The manufacturer of the chemical will advise on this, or consult the ProMinent® Chemical Corrosion Chart to determine chemical compatibility with contact materials. What influencing factors should be considered when the pump head measures the liquid? The main factors to be considered are the viscosity, specific gravity, vapor pressure and temperature of the liquid.
